Chandrodaya began with something simple: an authentic home in the historic old city of Udaipur. Over time, different parts of the building evolved into thoughtful, self-contained apartments shared with travellers from around the world.
“The name Chandrodaya, meaning the rising moon, reflects the feeling we wanted this place to carry: calm, warm and quietly connected to the city around it.”
This is deliberately not a hotel. There is no impersonal reception desk, no labyrinth of identical corridors, and no corporate formality. Instead, it is a lived-in heritage home where guests become part of the building’s everyday rhythm.
We live here. We know the shortcuts through winding alleys, the quietest times to visit the lake ghats, and the little chai stalls and artisanal workshops that never appear on standard tourist maps.
